About author(s):ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Wayne Laroche M.Sc. is a biologist living in Vermont who holds degrees in both wildlife and fisheries management. He has worked as a research biologist for major universities, research laboratories and consulting firms from coast to coast publishing more than a dozen scientific research papers. He has recently finished an eight year stint as Commissioner (Director) of the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife where he made significant improvements in the science based management of Vermont's white-tailed deer herd.
