About the Author:

The author of this book Peter Ballin has a wide range of experiences and interests, from skiing fresh powder in the French Alps to being an accomplished mountain bike racer and world cup mechanic. When he's not in the mountains he can often be found taking on new challenges like swimming across lake Geneva or hitch hiking across America with his surfboard. His idea for this book was born from many winters working as a ski technician, where he taught fellow ski enthusiasts how to service their own equipment. Once he saw how much people enjoyed being able to service their own skis, he decided to write this book to help teach more people look after their skis.
